About Dr. Maple

  Dr. Thomas Maple is the psychologist who created the APL program. He is also the sole presenter for our APL seminar.  Dr. Maple earned the Ph.D. from Auburn University in 1996 for his study in psychology.  Through administrative, professional, and graduate faculty roles, he has served Auburn University, East Carolina University, Faulkner University, The Florida State University, and the University of Georgia.

Dr. Maple resides in Auburn, Alabama and maintains a private clinical practice.  His involvement in professional organizations has included serving on the executive board of the Alabama Psychological Association and serving on the Alabama Department of Public Health’s Obesity Task Force.

Dr. Maple’s interest in novel applications of psychology principles led him to create APL. Teaching learners at APL seminar events is his favorite professional activity.
